If we restrict our discussion to the community of those who accept CO2 emissions as a serious problem and accept solar and wind energy as the primary solutions, among this community there is a distinct avoidance and sometimes outright denial of information that points out the various problems of current wind and solar solutions. This is cognitive dissonance. The focus should be on the CO2 problem and if we are succeeding in actually reducing emissions. The evidence is clearly that we are not and our solutions are failing. Cognitive dissonance allows no admission of failure, and so no alternative plan B can be examined.
